HOME Repair Opportunity Program
The Home
Repair Opportunity (HeRO) Program provides funding to meet the
growing need for home repair for low and moderate income homeowners.
MHDC provides federal HOME funds to selected community partners who
operate the program in the region they serve.
The 2008 funding has been allocated to 15 nonprofit community agencies
who received a portion of the $4 million set aside for the program. To
be eligible to receive funding, the governing agency for your county
must participate in the program (Who To Contact
).
The maximum income for participants ranges between $33,000 and $45,100 for a
family of four depending on the county of residence. Participating agencies
can provide you with more information about the income limits. Contact
these agencies for more information and to register for the program.
This Web site does not contain application forms to be completed
by homeowners.
Eligible homeowners may receive cash assistance up to $20,000 for
repairs.
