“We have a track record with these agencies.  Based on prior performance, we suggest that each of the agencies receive initial funding,” said Don Brinker, MHDC Homeownership Manager.  We have added a provision that unused funds can be recaptured after six months and reallocated to agencies that have committed all of their initial allocation.  We think this will allow flexibility to ensure all the funds are used for home repairs where needed the most.”

HeRO funds can be used for repairing owner-occupied structures in non-metro areas. The maximum income for participants in any Missouri county is usually between $35,500 and $51,600 for a family of four.   Participating agencies can provide more information about the income limits. Eligible homeowners may receive cash assistance up to $20,000 for repairs.
