Commission Accepts Executive Director Resignation

Missouri Housing Development Commission accepted the resignation of Executive Director Erica Dobreff during their monthly meeting Oct. 21 in Jefferson City. Dobreff had been serving as Executive Director since July 1, 2001. Prior to assuming the executive director duties, Dobreff served four years as MHDC director of production. A search committee was appointed by the MHDC chairman to find a new executive director.

“We thank Erica for her years of valuable service,” said State Treasurer and MHDC Chairman Sarah Steelman.

The makeup of the Commission has changed this year with the election of three new commissioners and the appointment of an additional four commissioners. The governor, lieutenant governor, treasurer and attorney general serve on the commission with up to six commissioners appointed by the governor.

Pete Ramsel, Deputy Director/Chief Underwriter, was appointed by the commission to serve as the interim Executive Director.

“We want to emphasize that this will be a seamless process that emphasizes the continued stability of MHDC. Affordable housing for our citizens plays a very vital role in the every day lives of our people,” said Treasurer Steelman.
