Area
means
a metro area
in
which
the census tract has less
than 5 percent poverty and 70 percent or more have some college education and
incomes are higher than 120 percent of the area median. In rural
areas the census tract must have less than 10 percent poverty and 40
percent or more have some college education and incomes are higher
that 120 percent of the area median.
NOTE:
Borrowers
purchasing
within
an
Opportunity Area will receive an interest rate that is lower than the regular
Next Step program rate.
