WILSON BEGINS SERVICE ON MISSOURI HOUSING DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

[Kansas City, Missouri] John R. Wilson of Parkville was sworn in October 23 to begin serving as a commissioner for the Missouri Housing Development Commission.

Wilson, 48, is the President of PAR Electric Contractors, Incorporated. He is also a member of the Clay County Sheriff's Advisory Council and the Mark Twain Bank Advisory Council.

"Affordable housing continues to be a critical issue for our state," Carnahan said.

Wilson has a bachelor's and master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

Seven commissioners now serve on the Commision including Chairman William H. "Bud" Creech Jr., Governor Carnahan, Lieutenant Governor Roger Wilson, State Treasurer Bob Holden, Attorney General Jay Nixon, Darryl T. Jones and H. Darrell Waisner. The Commission still has two vacancies.
