NEOSHO VILLAS GRAND OPENING
KANSAS CITY -- A special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony marks the completion of the $4.7 million rehabilitation of former Crowder College buildings into the Neosho Villas apartment complex in Neosho.
The newly renovated 64-unit complex, once part of Crowder College, includes a playground, basketball courts and community center.
The ceremony begins at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 22 at the Neosh Villas community Center. State Treasurer Bob Holden will be on hand to help celebrate the grand opening of the apartment complex. Holden serves on the Missouri Housing Development Commission.
The 64-unit development's rehabiliation was accomplished through funding by the Missouri Housing Development Commission. MHDC provided Jeffery E. Smith Development, Inc. with a $1.1 million federal HOME loan, a separate $727,172 MHDC loan, a federal tax credit of $339,000 and a state tax credit of $339,900 to completely rehabilitate and establish the development.
