New Homes for Rural Missourians is designed to expand the affordable opportunities for homeownership to families in rural Missouri, stimulate public and private investment in subdivision infrastructure, and stimulate economic growth in rural Missouri by offering seed money to homebuilders to construct affordable housing. |
Building Skills Building a Future, a two-dimensional program that will help plan and implement a job training program for low and moderate income Missourians to develop skills in the construction trade while, at the same time, providing new homes for rural homeowners. |
Rural Community Redevelopment, a program to provide funds to assist in the rehabilitation of existing housing stock. |
Lead risk reduction funds will provide assistance to homeowners and homebuyers to decrease the risk of lead contamination in older homes. |
The funding was made available through a competitive process to units of local government, community action agencies, regional planning entities and other not-for-profit organizations who will undertake these activities on behalf of low and moderate-income families in rural communities of Missouri.
