No. 2001-05-09 Commission elects new
officers during May meeting
The
Missouri Housing Development Commission unanimously elected Gary D. Collins of
Jefferson City as their new Chairman during MHDC’s Annual Meeting held May 18
in Jefferson City. They also
elected State Treasurer Nancy Farmer as Vice Chairman and John Wilson as
Secretary/Treasurer. Collins,
an official at Exchange Bank in Jefferson City, succeeds William H. Creech who
served four one-year terms as Chairman beginning in May 1997. He was first elected chairman in May
1997. Collins has been a member of
the Commission since March 2001. State
Treasurer Farmer fills a position that had remained open since then Gov. Roger
Wilson completed his term on the board. She
became a member of the Commission when she assumed her duties as State Treasurer
in January. John
Wilson with PAR Electrical Contractors of Kansas City has served as a
commissioner since September 1998. He
replaces Charles Braithwait as Secretary/Treasurer. Braithwait remains on the Commission. MHDC
is the state’s housing finance agency. The mission of MHDC is to provide safe,
quality, affordable housing to low and moderate-income citizens of Missouri. The Commission, by law, includes the
Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer and Attorney General. It also has six public positions. More
