Carlson-Gardner, Inc., Mid-America Management and the Economic Security Corporation of the Southwest Area will host a grand opening celebration for Divine Estates Apartment Homes in Lamar from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, June 24.

Divine Estates, located on 19th Street between College and Jackson in Lamar, provides affordable rental housing to families and consists of eight townhouse style buildings with four units each and two single-story buildings with two units each.  There are 16 two-bedroom two bath townhouse units renting at $330 per month and 16 three-bedroom two bath townhouse units renting at $395 per month.  The remaining four apartments consist of two two-bedroom, one bath single-story units and two units are three-bedroom two bath single-story units that rent for $300 and $380 per month, respectively.

Each unit has central heating/air, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, range and oven, refrigerator, carpeting, washer and dryer hookups and mini-blinds. The buildings are partially bricked with vinyl siding. 
 

Financing includes a $610,000 MHDC loan and $259,399 in federal and state rental housing tax credits.
