Housing Development Commission opened registration this week for
The 2006 Governor’s Conference on Housing set for Sept. 28-29 in
Springfield, Mo. The 12th annual housing conference will be
held at the University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, 333 S
John Q. Hammons Parkway in Springfield. This is the first time
the event has ever been held in Springfield.
“We
expect more than 500 people will attend the Governor’s annual
statewide affordable housing conference. The conference offers
affordable housing professionals an opportunity to keep up to
date on the latest developments in affordable housing,” said Jim
Torres, event coordinator.

conference includes a full-day of activities Thursday, Sept. 28,
including the keynote address by
Nicolas Retsinas, Director of
the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University.
