NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY
2010 ROUND 2
 

FEDERAL & STATE LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDITS

(4% CREDITS)

 

Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) hereby notifies interested parties of the availability of the following funding sources for the rehabilitation or construction of rental housing units for low- and moderate-income families and individuals in the state of Missouri:

 

bullet

federal 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits;

bullet

state 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits remaining from the $6 million
annual cap after Round 1 reservations;

bullet

federal funds remaining from previous rounds, if any.
 

Applications for funding will be accepted by MHDC until 4:30 pm CDT on April 2, 2010. Decisions regarding proposed developments will be made during the month of May or June 2010. An approved proposal will not become eligible for the tax credit until it applies and receives an allocation of private activity bonds from the Department of Economic Development. Approved applicants must be prepared to submit a complete firm submission package within 90 days of commission approval and close the bond transaction within 150 days of commission approval in order to maintain the reservation of Low Income Housing Tax Credits.


We ask all applicants with access to the internet to visit our web site at www.mhdc.com to obtain the 2010 Qualified Allocation Plan, Developer’s Guide and Application Forms and Checklist (see below). A separate application must be submitted to request AHAP tax credits as part of the financing package of a proposed development.

 

All proposals must be prepared using the application form dated June 2009 and must be submitted to the office of the Missouri Housing Development Commission at:
